LANTERN Christian Amateur Radio Club meeting

When the internet, telephones and cell phones are not working, we will be in radio communication. Train & practice to be prepared for future emergency radio nets during man made crisis or natural disasters. Find out how you can be involved.

About the Event

Raffle drawing of $5 per ticket for a dual band 2 meter/440 MHz analog Yaesu FT-70DR $190 value. There will be other raffles.

There will be free refreshments available including bottled water.

Meeting agenda:

· 1st 30 minutes:

  o Introduction and purpose of the club

· 2 nd 90 minutes: Choose the Tables of your choice for help and support

  o Ham License study and examinations support

  o Guests, Members and Membership assistance

  o Advice and help installing amateur radio antennas

  o Monitoring and/or communications on simplex and with Club Repeaters

  o HF Radio assistance (digital JS8 Call)

  o Assistance with Preparation Radio monitoring and communication

  o Communication Prepping and supplies

  o Club radio Library

Our Christian Ham Club is also open to those who do not want to study to obtain an amateur radio license.  

They can listen and monitor the ham radio bands but cannot (legally) transmit.
